Kylee and I took the ATV out into the Utah mountains and had a blast. The weather was much cooler in the mountains. We started at the mouth of Farmington canyon and commenced to ride the switchbacks up the mountain. We ended our first portion of the ride at the FAA radar station at the top of the mountain.
We then headed back down to visit Farmington lake. Since it was a weekday nobody was there. We had the lake to ourselves.
After relaxing at Farmington lake for a while we finished our journey by exploring the side trails deep into the back country.
After a month and a half we have seen our box garden spew forth. We have had success with our Pumpkins, Tomatoes, watermelon, and broccoli. As seen in the pictures below the pumpkins pretty much took over.
As you may have seen from our Picasa images that we installed Hardwood floor and new stair railings in our home. We installed the Hardwood flooring ourselves and hired a contractor to install the stair railing. The majority of our first floor is now hardwood floor and it took close to a month to install it all. I don't think our home has yet recovered from the heavy construction. Attached are a few pictures.
Here is what the stair railing upstairs looked like before.
I spent Friday night building two garden boxes. Both are currently empty. We bought tomato, cucumbers, watermellon to plant in the boxes this week. Maybe for Family Home Evening. Pictures below.
Very interesting Keynote from the Google I/O conference. Wish I could have been there. I very much want an Android mobile phone. Compass mode on the street view app is amazing.
